what is rate of interest your bank offers annually ?

    There is a defference between a fixed deposit and savings account. A fixed deposit account is on a contractual basis. if it's 1 year lock in period you won't be able to withdraw any money from your account within 1 year without being impose a penalty.

    While a savings account, you can just withdraw your money anytime you want. Thus the interest rate differs for both. Since you did say savings account, one would think you ask for what kind of interest rate one get from a saving account and not FD account. :)
