What is proxy, and what is proxy domain. can proxy make this domain http://www.telegraphic.info money? Please help.....
haha first you beg people for free domains (i gave you two back then...) then you dont know what to do with it well, proxies are servers that stand between you and the "final destination" where you want to surf to. this is useful at school or office, when e.g. Facebook or Myspace is blocked, or you live in china and many sites are blocked. here is a good example proxy: http://u.43.gs/C/franzosaproxy and no, proxy market is totally saturated, better go for something less traffic intensive, like a directory where you cash-in on links you sell... the domain would be pretty good for telecommunication stuff...
You go to the proxy, you tell it where you want to go, it sends a request to the website you want to access, collects the data it returns and shows it to you (just like your browser does when you navigate to any webpage). However, since you are viewing through the proxy, there is no direct communication between your computer and the server hosting the website you want to access, it is all done through the proxy, so you can access blocked sites etc. Theoretically it can make you untracable when you are hacking or spamming or whatever you are doing, but the ISP knows you went to the proxy and often the url will be something like http://proxy.tld/browse/*urlofsiteyouwanttogoto* which means the ISP will know where you tried to access. Also the proxy software might keep a log of all access, or the server it is hosted on might.
i use hidemyass.com to access blocked Facebook or Myspace but this site and some similiar ones also get restricted in my university, may be i have to learn this proxy thing to access these restricted sites
I think you don't have the sufficient privileges to set a proxy to your browser in those computers in your university..
