The overdraft amount would be agreed upon when you sign up for the card depending on the bank's policy. These allows you to make purchase in stores and online which accept credit cards. 2) Debit Card - This card is linked to a bank account and usually the maximum spending limit is up to the balance of that bank account or lower. You typically cannot overspend what you do not have. Same spending feature as a credit card. 3) ATM Card - This card basically just allow you to make withdrawal from an ATM Machine instead of having to queue up at the bank. (This is issued by the bank and cannot be used as a Credit or Debit Card) 4) Reloadable Debit Card/Prepaid Debit Card - This card works almost like a Debit Card. However, it is not linked to a bank account and does not have offer any loan extension. You buy the card and it comes preloaded with a certain dollar value and you cannot spend beyond that limit. When the balance drops or is insufficient to cover your balance, you can top-up the card with cash. There are Reloadable Debit Cards which are issued from a bank or a financial institution and the card is personalized with your name and there are others which you pick up from the grocery shop or gas station which does not come personalized with your name or address.
