Google Penguin is a code name for a Google algorithm update that was first announced on April 24, 2012. The update is aimed at decreasing search engine rankings of websites that violate Google’s Webmaster Guidelines by using black-hat SEO techniques such as keyword stuffing,cloaking,participating in link schemes, deliberate creation of duplicate content, and others.

 

I wonder he is an SEO but doesn't know Penguin and Panda. Well answered enough i don't feel good to show my efficiency

actually google has launched panda to reduce rankings for low-quality sites—sites which are low-value add for users, copy content from other websites or sites that are just not very useful. at the same time, it will provide better rankings for high-quality sites—sites with original content and information such as research, in-depth reports, thoughtful analysis and so on.

on the other hand google penguin is is an important algorithm change targeted at webspam. the change will decrease rankings for sites that we believe are violating google’s existing quality guidelines.

 

Google Penguin and Google Panda both are Google search Algorithm. penguin update that was first announced on April 24, 2012 and Google Panda is a change to the Google's search results ranking algorithms that was first released in February 2011.

hey mate , these are just some changes brought by google in its search technology. These changes were brought to ensure that users will get more approriate and useful content as they wanted . Both algorith updates are completely live at the time.
Panda was designed to penalise thode sites that were junks and used to spread piracy and spam on web while penguin is backlinks based algorith,.
