what is page strength

    I keep on seeing people refer to "page strenght" in their posts, i am aware what page rank is, but what is page stenght, is there another ranking system out there by some other search engine?

    I think they mean Pr. Not sure they could also mean how strong site is for certain keywords but Pr is one most people talk about.

    If its followed by a number from 1 to 10 then its certainly PR.
    else it might be the authority the page has in searches :rolleyes:

    Page Strength is a great way of analyzing a webpage in order to judge how worthy a backlink from that page would be.

    A lot of people are mislead by PR. They think a link from a PR 5/6 page will boost them up to the first page of Google, which is obviously wrong.

    The Page Strength tool analyzes a webpage/site, and uses a lot of variables including things such as the age of the site and backlinks to produce a Page Strength from 0 - 10.

    It is a good tool to use when considering buying a link, I would advise using it.

    As the creator of the page strength tool, I would caution you against using the score number as a direct influencer of your valuation of a page or link. The factors themselves are quite valuable, but since the scraping doesn't always get all the data, the numbers are sometimes inaccurate (we see about 80-85% accuracy internally).

    Page strength is simply a tool to retrieve data that may tell you more about the value or ranking ability of a page - it's not gospel truth, nor is it an official number from the engines. It's just a good rough metric.

    Yes is a util tool but have a lot of bugs.
    Position at Google for first four words of title tag on target URL
    I have here 1 place on google and there said -Not in top ten-
    Other bugs are in - Links from domains with .edu or .gov TLDs.

    Well I love it, personally, so a big thanks to SEOMOZ :)

    It allows me to quickly evaluate a page and blow apart the disguise of many of the high PR links that get offered on here :D
