    I think you mean page linking like you have 10 blogs and on each blog you have links to another 9 blogs and yes i heard this does work to increase traffic, but it has no effect on SEO

    If you are talking about internal linking about website pages, then yes it has high impact in SEO as each web page has some PR juice to share. So its depends upon your linking technique. Without a offpage optimization a website page can get 2 to 3 PR based upon their internal linking.

    If you are talking about internal linking then if you can do proper internal linking then it is beneficial for SEO.

    Best if you give the urls but I would say its a "Good Thing TM" .
    A rich page of content around a keyword topic with mulitple media types is the way im building my content now - even if it doesnt work for Search Engines, its nice for people

    Page Combining means marge pages into one page . If you mean page combining like page linking such as you have 5 blogs and on each blog you have links to another 4 blogs then it has no effect on SEO it will increase your traffic .
