What is new in the new Alexa Ranking system ?! (The Alexa Announcement)

I was checking my alexa ranking of my site and I have noticed a HUGE change in a VERY short time.

My site was ranked 4050 last time I checked, now it is 8212 !!!! (Double my old ranking)

So I check alexa.com and I found there announcement of changing the ways of calculating alexa rankings

They now aggregate data from multiple sources to give a better indication of website popularity among the entire population of Internet users.

I can't imagine what new sources they use ?!

Any ideas ?

There are more then 2000 sites moved out of 10,000 in the last week.

I guess the one you have now will be more correct. How tough it sounds

 

How often do they update the ranking now?

 

They change the 3wk Avg every 14 hours

 

There isn't a 3wk average, is there?

 

I dont prefer their rankings no of the most inappropriate .
