Myspace is just a place where people make friends with others. It is not made as an avenue to make money. Non-approved advertisement in MySpace is against TOS but it appears that there are people who just do not care about the TOS and delibrately break them to try to earn an income.
I think people are starting to use my space as free advertising Idea. I think it's smart and easy to do it, but I think only losers who don't know how to work in this business do it.
The more it's abused the more people will get banned. And it's abused a lot these days. It's obvious...
I'm not sure how you can make much money advertising from your profile page. Unless your friends are buying what you're advertising. Then, it better be a real good product or service.
It is not the Profile Page which these people are using, it is the Bulletin function. You know how easy it is to gather 'friends'. Once people get the substantial friends listing, they go blast out bulletins. Okay if that is actually legal. The trouble is that now people are hacking and hijacking other people's account and use their accounts to send out bulletins. That is why there are a hightened number of cases of people found their account hacked and find that they unknowingly sent out bulletins. This is indeed wrong.
