hi all my log shows googlebot visiting as normal... just noticed a several visits from "my_mini_google". what is "my_mini_google" ??? a mini version of googlebot?
vorapolpanya, As far as I know, Google has only two kind of bots... Googlebot and Mediapartners-Google (if you place Google Adsense on your site). So I don't think "my_mini_google" has a relationship with Google itself. ____ Taz
I dont think it is affiliated with Google in any way. why would Google name their new bot "my mini google", sounds more like an individual who is running his/her own SE
thank you all very strange ...does anybody else get "my_mini_google"? it can't be only my site. i do not run any sort of program to check ranking, google simulating software or any sort of programs at all. curious to know about
I've seen it on a couple of my web logs, not a big deal, and I never can track down where the originating site is..
i thought google had freshbot as well? mini google could be someone spoofing to look like google - d'ya think?
