    Hello,
I recently purchased a Virtual dedicated server.
I gave the server hostname as serv.example.org (just an example!)
and the nameserver prefix as ns1 and ns2

I have my domain registered at mydomain.com

When i try to update my nameservers as ns1.example.org and ns2.example.org, i get the following error "Unable to Change Name Servers with Registry, or invalid Name Server."

When i try to register a new name server with the hostname as ns1.example.org and ip as given by my vps provider i get another error."There was an error processing your request: 500 Internal error occured"

What should i do?what is my nameserver and where should i change it(should i register a new nameserver at mydomain.com or create a new mx record?)

You will need to create name servers in your domain control panel first, not in your vps. Which registrar you are using for registering your domain?
