What is MSN going to do this year ?

I rank #1 for all my keywords and it is pretty much worthless
I am sandboxed on google and still get 10x more hits from google

What are they going to do to step it up?
I want MSN to take over but how can they do it ?

If MSN takes over you can bet it will be a lot harder to get those good ranks because people will be optimizing for MSN... I too rank very well for a ton of keywords, and I currently get way more traffic from them on most of my sites than I do from google. Unfortunately I know that most of my high ranks aren't really realistic. If/when they get more popular they will very likely fix their algorithm.

I believe the next version of windows will be more closely tied in with msn search. Never underestimate the power of defaults!

MS looks to be getting a little bit more serious about some of the things that Google is going well with. They are redoing Hotmail, they just launched Adcenter to take on Google Adwords (later Adsense), and their search has been making progress on market share and they have MS dollars backing it.

I've been thinking high rank for new sites is a tactic to get webmasters excited about MSN but it seems only some topics do well on MSN.

MSN will always have one advantage: Their attachment of browsers, messengers, etc to their Operating System.

If they get a decent search engine to couple with their browser on Vista, they could overtake Google.

well whether they could overtake google or not depends on whether they make lots of efforts and spend millions to get the algorithm more professional. as of now sites are listed too fast and delisted and listed etc etc

Msn search will tie in much closer with new Microsoft products. Especially windows and IE.

i've noticed msn have been spidering our sites continuousely for weeks now, much more than google and yahoo. I think they are going to be pushing their natural search product mostly.

Bill will surely think of something i remember the times when everbody said that MS shouldn go in making PC games then after Microsoft released Age of Empires those people suddenly shut up. Microsoft is that sort of company that never gives up and always wants to be on top wheather in software or in other business
