Hello all. MozRank has interested me for a while, there's a lot of ways of explaining it and searching on here finds many references to it. We could say that MozRank is a term derived by SEOmoz's logarithmically scaled 10-point measurement of website linking authority or popularity of a given page on the internet. Basically its link popularity scoring system that reflects the importance of a web page on the Internet in relation to others. But why is mozRank so important? We know that like PR, the more MR you have, the more backlinks you would have pointing to it so it shows popularity of a domain/site. But does Google use MozRank in its ranking algorithm?
Google does not use MozRank in its ranking algorithm, but as we know the PR thing of google is no more as google stopped updating PR since a few years back.So the mozrank provides us a great idea about the authority of the website just like the PR.
Of course not, Google has its own way of ranking a site. Since Google do not disclose how they measure the quality or the ranking of the site, MOZ serves as an alternative for those who wants to have an idea. It is not 100% accurate but it is reliable.
