I am of the opinion that the following is important for better ranking:

1. Clean coding with no errors.

2. The right meta tags still matter, so have them.

3. The content has to match the meta tags, otherwise you get penalized.

4. The content has to be very focused, resist the temptation to cover everyone. If your site is about dogs, each individual page should be about dogs and should be very narrow. For example instead of dog collars, you it should be more along the lines of jewel encrusted collars for dalmation puppies. It needs to be very narrow.

5. You need to very unique and you need to add content on a regular basis. Freshness is sometimes important, but the volume increases your traffic, which increases your rank in the pages.

6. If you paid a so called SEO expert to get you backlinks, and you have a bunch of bad links disavow them through the webmaster panel on Google.

7. Be patient and keep adding well written, unique, focused content every week. Avoid the "Leading SEO Company in India," like the plague they won't do anything for you other than take your money and screw your site.

8. You may want to use wordpress, it works well with Google and you can modify it to look like almost any other site with a Child Theme.

 

Content is important no doubt, but one might have to work hard to promote it well, do some good SEO, link building in order to see some quality results.

 

You sound stupid here. Do you think if you search for 'leading SEO company in US', or 'best SEO services', you get what you pay for? you get the best ever services?? Don't they scam you?

Don't claim anything based on a location. There are good/bad people everywhere. May be even in your own house. There's no point in blaming others. You gotta be careful and play safe. You may be a cheap skate looking for cheap services and you got cheated? That's your fault. Cheap guys are spread everywhere, even in your own country. Don't you agree with this?

 

I agree with you mate. After all scamsters can be everywhere. No doubt there might be difference in the quality of services, but you can never abuse india as a country for having fraud sellers or whatever!
There have been more hackers, credit card scams etc in the western countries than india. Its all about SOME type of people, and not the country.
