It really depends on other variable involved.

 

my answer for this would depends on many factors such as the ob links of the sites ...linking to you because that significantly reduces the pr coming to your site...however the 100 links are better than one link..as this allows the chances of your sites to go up as compare to the one link........

 

1 PR6 beats 100 PR1 any day.. why ?? ask yourself? which one is easier to achieve? you can post to millions of directory site easily.. but PR6 can not be done with simple grunt work

 

1 PR6 relevant site is much better than having 1 PR6 non-relevant site.
Or 100 PR1 relevant sites.

 

I will prefer 100 PR1 links. It will bring us more visitors, hence the traffic gets increased.

 

Quality is very important in search engine optimization, so if you have 100 PR 1 back links then it's equal to PR 6 back links.

So give more important to quality in search engine optimization.

 

If the 6 is relevant to my site content, I would take that over the others assuming the anchor text was appropriate.
