    Obviously an emotional bond and connection. If that's not there then technically you're not with a person you love and always want to be with.

    Exactly, glad to see I'm not the only one that feels that way.
    You can have love for others, you can even 'exist' with others, but you will never be happy in your soul. At bouts you may feel happy, at times you might feel content, but if you know that person is out there, that you have that bond/connection with the ache will never go away. You can force it away for only so long, until you find yourself miserable beyond words.

    I know it from experience, I know it because I have such a bond, I know it because I hurt the person I had this bond with greatly and I regret it every single day of my life.
