    According to me both are important.In SEO Inbound links are a large determining factor in rankings and in SMO links are a result of success, which means that SEO benefits from good SMO.In SEO quality content is important in order to rank well.In SMO quality content is important in order to hold the readers’ attention and win their approval.

    SEO is much more important for the site existence at all. Good SEO helps to increase PR. SMO is mostly useful for marketing purposes. With good SMO you'll easily promote anything you'd like to and more people could be attracted.
