for example: type a keyword, you will find one page A high than another page B that in the same site.so you compare the two pages to find what make page A higher than B. what do you find, list here to discuss to know google better.


what I found is: infomation many book introduce is wrong. keyword density, keyword in title h1 tag, at begin of page. the factor that affect seo not work.

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you're talking about. Are you using Google Analytics? (If not, try it, it's good)

I think that search engines list the sites based on relevance. If one page is ranked higher than another, that's because that one page is thought to be more relevant to the words being searched. From what I heard, Google uses its Googlebot to index websites, while Yahoo still relies on manual labor (I don't know if it's true or not, though).

I think the contents also play an important role in SERP. Unique title in each page and how you create your content using your targeted keywords. Using targeted keywords as anchor text also helps.
