One of my friend told me that he had got "minus 950 penalty" from google. I never heard such a word. What is that? Is there any other ways of google penalty? As well as, how to fix them?
It's a name for a SEVERE penalty at Google. You will hear people say -30, -60, -350, -950 penalties... -30 penalty: Can't seem to rank any higher than 30th position... so if were at #3 your URL drops to around #33... Best you can do is page 4 of the SERPs. -60 penalty: Can't seem to rank any higher than 60th position... so if were at #7 your URL drops to around #67... Best you can do is page 7 of the SERPs. -350 penalty: Can't seem to rank any higher than 350th position... so if were at #1 your URL drops to around #351... Best you can do is page 36 of the SERPs. -950 penalty: Can't seem to rank any higher than 950th position... so if were at #5 your URL drops to around #955... Best you can do is page 96 of the SERPs. Not sure if there is any truth to these common "levels" of penalties, but people have noticed these as penalty severity patterns and given them the above names as a result...
