Latent semantic indexing (LSI) is the process by which search engines like Google spot and collect words that are related in meaning from a body of text found in a webpage and to use that to somehow conclude what that specific webpage is about. That webpage and those keywords are then remembered (indexed) by the search engine so that when someone makes a related search, the webpage will appear in the results. In blogging, it is advised to use a couple of LSI keywords (both exact and related) to build a more diversified inbound link profile and gain appearance in search results.

    Hope this helps. :)

Good tip for you. Go to Google and enter "What is LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing)" and read the information it comes up with. That way you'll get the answer from the horse's mouth.

Don't be so lazy. Find things out for yourself instead of expecting people to just give you the answers on a plate.

Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) is a specific algorithm that a search engine will use to determine a websites content by related keywords. In other words you don't just want to focus on one specific keyword for whatever you do, you want to make sure you throw in related keywords as well.

Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) is a system used by Google and other major search engines. The contents of a webpage are crawled by a search engine and the most common words and phrases are collated and identified as the keywords for the page. LSI looks for synonyms related to the title of your page. For example, if the title of your page was “Mobile Application”, the search engine would expect to find words relating to that subject in the content of the page as well, i.e. “Mobile Apps”, “Mobile Apps Development” and “Mobile Application Development”.

LSI works based on the principle that words used in the same context have the same meaning. Applied to SEO, this means that words synonymous to your target keyword help increase its relevance to your target keyword. You can only use the target keyword once in every 100 words or so in an article, so using words synonymous to the target keywords help, and through LSI, increases the entire article's relevance to the target keyword.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!
