"Firefox plus Google Toolbar: When a user you've referred to Firefox plus Google Toolbar runs Firefox for the first time, you'll receive up to US$1 in your account, depending on the user's location. Your referral must be a Windows user, who has not previously installed Firefox, in order for you to receive credit." What does location mean in particular? How does google keep track of my friends who download it from a location near to me?Will i be credited if i send my link to a friend through yahoo messenger for impressions?
DONT do that again. You send your webpage link but not the direct link to download it. It takes sometime to track the installation & it is necessary that installed product is used atleast once; I recommend to use it for a week atleast. You can also use picasa as firefox is now used by many users.
As austinium2002 said, DO NOT send links to your friends to click on - I don't even know how you would do it. By "location" Google is referring to where the click is coming from. A visitor in the US who clicks on your referral link, downloads Firefox/Picasa and then installs it, would then result in you getting $1. US visitors get you the highest payout - all other countries vary and are below $1. For example from my personal experience, Australia - 50c, Malaysia - 10c.
