Hi, What is "Link Wheel" concept?, I heard little about this but I am not able to understand this link wheel concept, any one know about this or any one has experience in this, share your knowledge here.. Thanks in advance..
Linkwheel is where you create backlinks to your website and some backlinks to your backlinks and you create them in the form of wheels where every backlinks has some importance or "juice" Thank you.
To give an example of a small link wheel. If you have 5 websites or pages that each has two backlinks you could: Point one backlink from site 1 to site 2 Point one backlink from site 2 to site 3 Point one backlink from site 3 to site 4 Point one backlink from site 4 to site 5 Then point the second link from each site to the site you want the "juice" to be targeted at and this way links are supposed to be stronger and more productive. Internet marketers tend to think that this looks more "natural" to the search engines which means that they like it better. You can do it using hubpages, squidoo, wordpress or any other free hosting website if you don't own websites yourself.
Well, I can't explain to you without using some graphic illustration, but in a nutshell, linkwheel is a no. set of web 2.0 properties interlinked in a "wheel" structure, all pointing to your money site. So, the 2.0 properties basically is the wheel and the page or the main url of you site would be at the middle of the wheel. That's why this method is called "linkwheel". e.g. If you have 6 propertises set up, each should be contains a link to your main site and most importantly, its 'neighbor' web 2.0 property. Hence, if google cache pages within the linkwheel you created = a chain effect.
I second this question. To those who are in the know, does each wheel need to be of the same topic? If it is not then we can use the same wheels over and over, to different projects, with different topics. Isn't it? Hope the linkwheel masters here answer
Linkwheel method is initially intended for your SE ranking, guess if you don't copy exactly your content within the wheel you should be fine. Ultimately if you do everything right your PR will grow as well.
Hi all, Thank you for your quick responses. I have another small doubt here, we have to use same content for all site? or unique content for each post?
Yes, your content should be related and on topic to get the moist link juice. As far as using duplicate content, some people do and some don't. Since you are doing this for link juice I guess you could get away with it. Personally, I would modify the title and rewrite the content aiming for at least 50% uniqueness.
@zeekstern : although I'm not the thread starter here, I would like to say thanks to your post. Answered my question. One more question: does a 'spoke' has to have a SINGLE LINK (towards the intended spoke) or its page could link to another spoke, a spoke that's part of another wheel? To illustrate, I have a wheel to link to my site FRUITS. So spoke 1 is about ORANGE, spoke 2 is about MANGO and spoke 3 is about APPLE. It just so happens that I have another site named JUICE and I also want to promote it. Can I use spoke 1, 2, 3 again to promote JUICE? Or should I limit the linking to FRUITS? How many links should a page (or a spoke) contain?
Not sure if you are asking me, but here is my 1 cent worth. Go to http://lemonarian.com/linkwheel Linus is the creator of the linkwheel. Well, actually, he is noted for coing the phrase anyway. The link wheel does work very well in most cases. There is some debate over keeping the linkwheel open or closing it. While this does not address your question right now, the answer you are looking for can be found on his blog. You will need to give your email address to get access, but he is great! He does not constantly bomb you with sales emails. Good luck!!
Thanks sineda, its clear sample link wheel, now i know, that mean we need to be active all online platform right, not just blog/site alone
@zeekstern, thanks to your reply. I now got the ebook and scanned its contents. I have some reservations about the system, or maybe, with the way lemonarian presented it. I'll read it fully later and I'll post my reaction about the system here.
Does anyone have an evidence to prove how useful a linkwheel is? I mean the concept is so that the spiders follow to each site, so it knows where to find the "juice" faster, but does it offer any other benefits other than this?
