Link equity can be defined as page rank of a web site. It depends on how many quality links a web site gain after performing link building activity.

Link equity also known as page rank is an important part of off-page SEO. Link equity is the number of in bound links going to any given page on your web site. Link authority is the value of those links. For instance imagine in the real world a reference from the BBC as to your capability as a reporter will have more weight than a reference from a local journal. The same thing applies to link authority.
