In which case it would need to be 'a regular basis'. 2. Content is singular. So it's IS not ARE fresh... 3. same as 2. 4. Isn't a sentence at all. Presumably he meant to say something like 'Post on forums and comment on blogs' that many booboos in such a short piece of text would probably trigger the old anti-Markov filters too.

Like most have said already, link building is not a simple process it has many steps to the process and takes time and effort to accomplish. You can do it yourself or pay someone to do it if you have the money available. So check out a google search for (Link Building). Once you read upon it, then decide if you want to do it yourself or pay someone. There are some free courses in Squidoo that will give you a start. Hope this helps.
When I started with my first site I found that writing good and relevant articles in Ezines and Articlesbase was the best way to get some good backlinks quickly. As others have said, there are many different ways to get backlinks but you have to start somewhere! Get good at writing, publish lots of unique and well-researched articles with at least 500 words each (Google tends to ignore short articles and any links from them) and you will have learned the basics of good online marketing.
