    in general, more backlinks you have, higher you rank on search engines. link building is basically get your links posted on 3rd party sites. or in other words, external links from 3rd party sites pointing to your site. if you are looking for ways to build backlinks, then you can read this article on link building

    For fuck's sake. Link building is a fancy word for spamming. It won't bring your site up. It'll just give you a bad reputation, and make you look stupid.

    Completely disagree.

    Link building is spamming if overused. It's not if you are doing everything in a well planned manner.

    Could you please tell me what are the other ways to get your site up except link building? :confused:

    Building link is one of the most improtant off page optimsation.

    1.) Build link with related website to yours.
    2.) Build link with website with lots of internal link to the linked website. (It shows it have a good breadcrumb)
    3.) The website need to be cache regularly.
    4.) Link your website with good anchor text. (Your keyword)
    5.) If you can, link your keyword in lots of relevant text around it.

    You will get the meaning when you finish reading the forum.

    link building is something that you do when you are trying to seo your blog. you comment on other blogs but you leave links to your blog and you do it over and over so that you get a lot of links to your blog
