what is landing page?

I heard of many people talking about landing page.

I want to know what exactly mean by landing page

The page of your website which a visitor first visit is the landing page for that visitor. It may or may not be your homepage. The visitor may reach the page from search engine or other referring sites or even directly.

 

It a webpage where your visitor will be landed or transfer after clicking the
link. For example i click your signature i would definitely be transfer on the page depending on the link you attached on it and that is the landing page
