Cloaking is basically when you show up other people's search engine bots a thing. Usually it is considered as Black Hat SEO techniques. Because people do link cloaking affiliate links because they believe that search engine bots see them fingerprints and organic SEO rankings if it will hurt there.

Well, a lot of people answered cloaking. Keyword cloaking is something different. Cloaking generally means cheating the search engines.
Keyword cloaking or keyword stuffing is cheating the search engine by filling your site by targeted keywords in the content, title, descriptions and meta contents, etc. For instance if you are running a po*n site and you stuff your site and its web pages with unrelated keywords for example learn guitar in 10 days, or something similar, your site would start ranking for that keyword you have stuffed in. Of course there is more optimization to be performed as well. Now people don't notice the stuffed keywords because they are in unnoticeable places and are in the same colour as the background.
This technique is extremely dangerous and should be avoided at all costs. Google has very strict guideline and its a known fact that it gets hold of such sites even without manual reviews. Purely Black Hat, to cut short.
