Hey webset... Joomla is an open source CMS - Content Management System. CMS is most likely the future of web design and development. I'm just getting into it myself. Joomla is a very popular CMS solution. Other popular ones include Drupal.org, PostNuke, among others. Read more about the different systems on their sites and here on DP. I would dive in by reading up on them, picking one, (they're all free) and then just playing around with it. When you run into trouble, hit up a forum for help.

I really don't know what I'm talking about, but I hope that helps. :) Now get reading!

    Quoting wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joomla):

"Joomla! is a free, award winning, open source content management system written with PHP for publishing content on the world wide web and intranets using a MySQL database. Joomla! includes features such as page caching to improve performance, RSS feeds, printable versions of pages, news flashes, blogs, polls, website searching, and language internationalization."

If you are looking to build a website/s you should highly consider using joomla.

If your sites will be based around content etc than this is a great to that can lay it out for you. I use joomla alot for my sebsite building and the great thing i find about it is that i dont have to worry about dealing with code alot. everything is done in a n admin area for you and is automated.

Great tool - check it out
