    This a process to optimize your site for Search Engines in a way that it is ranked well in searches.
    Example :
    you have a very attractive and professionally designed website But you are no where in searches, no visitors and no traffic at all. This is because you have not optimized your site according to the Algorithm (Rules, Guidelines ) of search engines.

    Tips
    1. In start don't try to optimize your site for all search engines just target one and optimize your site for that specific one. Amazingly you will find yourself at least somewhere in other search engines.
    2. Read Ebooks and articles from the experts about SEO.
    3. Learn about Keywords and do different experiments.

    Types
    SEO or Search Engine Optimization are in two types or wearing two different colored Hats called WHITE HAT SEO and BLACK HAT SEO.

    WHITE HAT SEO
    Good Guys like me ;) use White Hat SEO. ( Takes time but lasts for a very long time)

    BLACK HAT SEO
    Bad guys uses Black Hat SEO ( Quick results but just for few hours or may be few days)

    for further info, you should try to search it on google or search SEO related post in this forum
    by searching it on your own, at least you get better idea about what is SEO

    It means that if you dont do SEO too your site nobody will ever find you. ;)
