-Which is what I am missing. Please help me see clearly - where have you seen: -here, on this forum? Elsewhere? Either the "all" aspect, or the "denigration" aspect, if you could point out what you are referring to, I'd appreciate it.
I thought you were missing: I'm sure there is a parallel there somewhere. You bet, I see it all the time. Don't you? You know how *those* people are, always looking to denigrate their country with all inclusive terms like "we, our, all." Always taking credit for something bad on behalf of everyone. I'm sure you've seen it before, no?
I like to call it "Dixiedemoguilt". It's pretty popular now-a-days to feel guilty by assuming responsibility for what the court of popular opinion deems as "bad" by shifting responsibility away from yourself (disassociating yourself with your country) while still assuming the brunt of the guilt. The irony here is that it is (more often than not) the same "Dixiedomoguilt" people taking credit when things are good, or the court of popular opinion approves. What a conundrum.
I think this is a perfect example of the kind of question one should ask on a forum or in an ad, if you want huge traffic and have a way to monetize it. Look how everyone flocked to respond to this. As a sidenote, this topic is a spectacular way to make linkbait. Look at the gospel of judas and you'll see the remarkable potential to market these types of things.
I was sure it had to have a name! Dixiedemoguilt. Often times I recognize the consistent patterns, but don't know the term by which the disease is called. I always likened it to people who sought attention from their parents as children by asking for a spanking. Deep down, they know they didn't do anything wrong, but they feel better when getting a spanking. It starts a lifelong trend of wanting to take the blame for everything. What a sad life I've seen people do that with American Indians too!
Just got back from getting some Mexican food. These been nachos with peppers sure are good I'll have to take my wife to Mervyn's tomorrow
Don't say, if you know nothing about it. All the names you write here are mentined in the Holy Qur'an as I know, and Prophet Jesus (as) is one of tehe most sacred and beloved prophet prophet near Muslims. I think you have to go for Proves from Bible or holy books Who are you to tell Us ?? Go to your book and follow it, Don't ever spit on anyother If you can't handle your own mouth.
Mia and Gtech. Get some boxing gloves (big ones) and go duke it out somewhere. Do you have to hate each other on every thread?
I Do agree with all these verses that there will be false prophets and even Prophet Muhammad (as) mentioned that there will be more than 40 "Kazzabs" false prophets after him(as). Ah, But I think You have mis-read these ones, as Muhammad was predicted to come in the Gospel of John Just a quick note, the Arabic word "Muhammad" is an expression which means "The honorable one" or "The glorified one" or "The admirable". Prophet Muhammad was the first in the Middle East to be named "Muhammad". Below, you will see how Jesus in today's Gospel of John had called this human Prophet which he predicted his comming "The honorable one". Jesus in the Greek Bible used the Greek word "Periklytos" which means the admirable or glorified one. He called that predicted human prophet "Periklytos". This word corresponds exactly to the Arabic word "Muhammad" which also means the "admired one" or "glorified one." In other words, "Periklytos" is "Muhammad" in Greek. In the Bible we can find the following four passages wherein Jesus (peace be upon him) predicts a great event: John 14:16 "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever" John 15:26 "But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me" John 14:26 "But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." John 16:7-14 "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew [it] unto you." ===== Muhammad is mentioned by the exact name in the Gospel of Barnabas: barnabas.net/barnabasP136.html `When he shall go there all the devils shall shriek, and seek to hide themselves beneath the burning embers, saying one to another: "Fly, fly, for here cometh Mohammed our enemy!" Hearing which, Satan shall smite himself upon the face with both his hands, and screaming shall say: "Thou art more noble than I, in my despite, and this is unjustly done!" `As for the faithful, who are in seventy-two grades, those of the two last grades, who shall have had the faith without good works - the one being sad at good works, and the other delighting in evil - they shall abide in hell seventy thousand years. `After those years shall the angel Gabriel come into hell, and shall bear them say: "O Mohammed, where are thy promises made to us, saying that those who have thy faith shall not abide in hell for evermore? For more Search for "Mohammed" and you will find in .. 136: Every one shall see Hell, 97: Muhammad is his blessed name 54: Of the Judgment Day, 39:Adam Gets Life 112: A Secret revealed to Barnabas, 55: Muhammad at the Judgment Day, 44: Sacrifice Ishmael, 88: Man is amended with mercy, 41:They Leave Paradise, Need more ??
Have you been dipping into the sacramental wine? Mia and I are good friends! Why on earth would we "duke it out somewhere" or "hate each other?" Get some sleep warrior! Sounds like you may have had a long day
There is no prediction of Mohammad, except the verses I quoted which warns of false prophets. The "Comforter" is the Holy Spirt (Holy Ghost), part of the Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirt) which islam rejects. Beware of false prophets.
Well I believe the whole thing is pooh and if you make enough predictions then at least one will come true. What the hell is this book of Barnabus? Why the hell does God want to introduce three major religions in sequence (Jewish, Christian and Muslim)? What I mean by that is apparently, Judaism morphed into Christianity via Jesus then Islam apparently came into being via Mohammed. It sounds like God is one of those crummy Insurance companies that sell you a policy (a place in heaven) and changes the rules to try and get out of it (by sending you to hell). I think that religion had it's place in history by controlling the uneducated masses but now we have technology and laws that do the controlling so there is very little need for it. Besides a lot of the 'stories' in the Bible/Koran are adaptations of the ones told by the Sumerians in ancient times such as the tales of Gilgamesh etc... PS. Google is the anti-christ...
Sorry. I must have misread. Maybe I got the wrong guys. I know someone was having a go at each other here. Oh well. Back to sleep for me then.
easyresume, No matter who thinks what about religion, it does not matter who predicts what happens and when it happens. God is in control of the whole situation and he will step in and remove all those who refuse to acknowledge him (even after patiently giving everyone every opportunity to do so) when it is the right time for him. Nothing will prevent this from happening. It is up to each and every one of us to decide which side of the fence we will sit on. I certainly hope you all make the right choice. I know where I am sitting. But, I am not just sitting, I am doing things for him just as he has aksed us to do things for him. If you really believe in God, do you honestly think that he would allow us to do things our own way and not his way? Anyone who believes this should read the verse in Isaiah 48:17-22: This is what Jehovah has said, your Repurchaser, the Holy One of Israel: “I, Jehovah, am your God, the One teaching you to benefit [yourself], the One causing you to tread in the way in which you should walk. O if only you would actually pay attention to my commandments! Then your peace would become just like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea. And your offspring would become just like the sand, and the descendants from your inward parts like the grains of it. One’s name would not be cut off or be annihilated from before me.†Go forth, YOU people, out of Babylon! Run away from the Chal·de′ans. Tell forth even with the sound of a joyful cry, cause this to be heard. Make it to go forth to the extremity of the earth. Say: “Jehovah has repurchased his servant Jacob. And they did not get thirsty when he was making them walk even through devastated places. Water out of the rock he caused to flow forth for them, and he proceeded to split a rock that the water might stream forth.†“There is no peace,†Jehovah has said, “for the wicked ones.â€
Could have been. We both crack on northpointaiki quite often. He's quite the challenge in a debate. I have to go look up every third word he types at websters.com, then build a matrix to figure out what he's trying to say. A most worthy adversary; definitely keeps me on my toes! Yeah, mia and I love each other...in a bud light kind of way! But not the kind of love one might find on a street corner in San Francisco
