    Well... any type of initial analysis pretty much involves figuring out where the business stands among its competition, and what it needs to do to outbeat them. Does that makes sense?

    Initial Analysis starts with the keywords we are going to Target..and then the On Page Analysis report..
    like Meta Data..
    after that W3C check..
    in the middle, h1 tags check up
    like this it goes on.. with some other stages..

    It could mean different in different contexts. In doing SEO of a site, initial analysis means understanding niche of your website, understanding your audience and their needs, realizing your strengths and weaknesses and keeping in view your main objective through the creation of the site.

    Well, analysis can be performed using Google Analytic too, which tells you about your visitor activities, apart from this, you can analyze your website, web page using any tool, backlink checkers etc. too. So there are many ways to analyze your website.
