Does it really important? USA And most EU countries support Israeli and said that is a Defensive not Offensive by Israel.

and heres a nice find I saw yesterday night :

Schwarzenegger: Every nation has right to defend itself

    Published: 01.03.09, 23:35 / Israel News

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger expressed support for the ground operation in Gaza. After meeting with the Israeli consul general in Los Angeles, Yaakov Dayan, Schwarzenegger declared that "every nation has the right to defend itself against terrorism and cold-blooded attacks on its people. Israel is no different and is right to defend itself against the unceasing violence of rocket attacks launched by Hamas." (Yitzhak Benhorin, Washington)

India in an official statement has criticised the use of disproportionate force
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intern...onflict#International_reaction_from_countries

Indians may not be commenting here for the fact that we fought for 200 years for freedom from the British!
we finally gained independence in 1947! and have been facing terrorism ever since!

so ... in effect we can understand both sides of the conflict!

for people who are asking for independence and people who are facing terrorism and bombimgs of civilian targets

i dont have much knowledge of the conflict, except for what i have read in a few posts here and there,
but all i say is this,
    1. any freedom movement which targets non-administrative/ non-military targets, is no more a freedom movement, but a terrorist act! (and a serious waste of time... keeping the objective in mind)
    2. any act done for controlling terrorism in which the ratio of civilian to terrorist casualties is tilted is not anti-terrorism but just bad strategy all over.

from what i understand the 6 month peace, which could have been used to ease relations and show the world Palestinian want to live in peace,
was actually used to fill up military supplies for an offensive on Israel, was wrong.

some idiots spent time and money in buying arms, shot rockets on Israel, and God knew what was coming their way!

India should take lessons from Israel and SriLanka,.... instead of so many people dying in terror attacks accross the country and especially in Kashmir,
we should just have a swift and hard hit against all targets in Kashmir and Pakistan occupied Kashmir at one go and finish the job,
once done, we can worry about the international opinion, and internal opinion, and when peace prevails one can finally talk sense to the moderates voices there.

coz in the end lives are more important, and peace only comes when all fanatics die!

Personally i condemn the use of mass force on civilians, but i would support killing of all fanatics irrespective of what their demands are,... this is a 21st century,... you want something, leave the gun and come to the table,.... there are seperatists in Kashmir which stood for democratic electons and won,... it is the right way to go.

FYI, I'm from India and I've already made my views very clear on this issue in this thread. I feel sorry for the civilians who got into this issue but I strongly support Israel's actions against Hamas.

There's a question I can't help asking. I don't want this turn to yet another political debate regarding the war that has been going between Israel and the Hamas.

It seems like there's much more Hamas supporters around here than Israeli supports. It's OK, everyone here are entitled to their own opinions (radical Democrats are protesting here too, among with the Israeli Muslim Arabs).
But as this board consist of mainly Indian guys... as far as I know... I would like to ask them, how come their have been supporting the Hamas?

For those who don't know the Hamas is a Muslim terror organization. Suicide bombs, shooting missiles against civil population ETC. It is very unlikely for a country that has been suffering the harsh iron fist of the Muslim terror to support it... isn't it? Maybe it's due to biased media, maybe due to other stuff I am unaware of?

I have been working with Indians, my father has been working with them, some of my friends and family traveled there, and it seemed to me like Israel and India are close alleys. (?)

Just your thoughts about this issue.

    WRONG!

Most people here condemn the barbarity of Israel against the innocent civilians over 300 of them killed. This of course will create more terrorism.... and that's exactly what Israel wants.

As long as the communist pigs are in the Indian cabinet, India will remain in support of the Palestinians! Let me make one thing very clear: Every non-Muslim I see looks down upon the Muslim, even the good ones...thanks to the terror attacks in India for ages. Israel is doing what other countries fear to do and kudos to that! Nietzsche's quote comes to my mind: "Truly, I have often laughed at the weaklings who thought themselves good because they had no claws" Israel's got claws of steel and other countries are protesting because they are envious of Israel's strength.
