Inbound links - links which point any page of that site at which they are, called internal links.

Outbound links- links which point other sites not the site at which they are, called outbound links.

Outbound links - these are the links that are pointing external to your blog/site. These links can be crucial in times and can get you into trouble. So always be aware of the outbound links that your going to point to.

Inbound links - these are the links that are pointing internally to your blog/site or web pages. Inbound links are often considered as the favourites of SEO. Inbound links can make a real value and increase your blog ranking.

Inbound Links: Links you have coming into your site from outside website, Suppose http://www.digitalpoint.com having link http://www.google.com that means google get inbound link from digital point.
Outbound Links: If you are giving link to other site. in above example digitalpoint have outbound link of google.com.

Inbound and outbound, it is simply understood by the words itself. Inbound link are the link which take you to the other existing page within the website and the outbound links are those link which going to another domain/website and the user navigating other webpage.

The basics different between outbound vs inbound :
Outbound process of making calls to the customer. and inbound process of receiving calls to the customers.
