What are the top 5 things you consider when deciding on whether or not you will promote an affiliate program? Thanks, Eric
I am not very experienced in IM, but for me I can say the following: 1.Vendor's reputation. If it's not perfect when it comes to payments, I will avoid it. 2.Good choice of offerrs available. Always ask for the conversion rate of the offer that you are going to promote. 3.Payments terms. I think it is obvious that net 15 is better than net 30, and weekly payouts are the best! 4.Nice and supportive affiliate managers. 5.Yet it is not the main point when making a decision, it is nice to have something extra from your vendor/network.
For Clickbank, I'm looking at the quality of the sales page. If it looks like crap and can be seen as a scam, I'll avoid it like the plague. A good layout with a professional template is more likely to get me to promote it. Prewritten reviews are a plus for me, along with templates that include product pictures. Banners are also good, as long as the don't look too crappy. I typically like the "cooler" colors on a salespage, like blue or purple, instead of "hot" colors like red or yellow. From other marketing experience NOT online, I have found that colors make a huge difference, more than one would think. So Cool colors, a professional template with professional sounding reading material, and professional looking banners will likely get me to promote a product. Proof of high conversion rates is also a plus, along with a FEW keywords to promote the product. I don't like getting a gigantic list of keywords that won't convert. Give me the string phrases and I'll be happy because of the higher CTRs and conversions.
I give my opinion from our software market. 1. repair skills 2. easy of use 3. customer support 4. software updates 5. vendor should be in company, not in person

Here are a few things I commonly hear from affiliates. Commission rates Conversion rates Cookie length Honesty Responsive management
One that I do consider very important is the products niche, to see if it might be profitable, competitors, etc. Another thing that is very important is the vendor's landing page quality and it's content, because the vendor is the one that ends up making the sale and if I redirect someone to a crappy landing page, I would we loosing my time and money. Nice day to everyone
