hidden links are links that are the same color as your background color.. say your website is black #000.. and you then set "some keyword specific" links to the colour black too #000. Then those links would be hidden from view in the eyes of the pbulic.. In other wirds they would not be able to see them on the page as they would blend into the background. But they would still readable by googles eyes in the form of html, by its crawler. ITs a very old blackhat technoque that is severly outdated and would get you penalized.. There are other methods too but with the same principle of hiding the links from the public view.
hidden links means... A spam method in which hypertext links are printed to be seen by spiders shed not by individual visitors
There may be another blackhat method that rocks. Hence you are not a blackhatworld reader you have to think about the anatomy of a hyperlink, and understand its visible and invisible parts, then you may find new ways to show the hyperlink to the spiders and not show to the human readers. I wouldn't say hidden link means any "spam method". E-mail is not a spam method either, however it can be used to spam if it is used abusively.
google is way smarter than that and knows how to identify a hidden link. they not only see the link but also analyze your site color structure to see whether there is any hidden links or hidden texts that are not visible to human eyes. this is 100% spammy method that will result in penalizing your site
why don't u put a same color picture link ? would it be good ??? bot can't see and detect picture color right ???
Smart, smart, smart. Why shall the picture be of background color? A picture link is a link. Question is, whether a picture link is a hidden link or not?
if google catches you using hidden links your site can get penalized and disappear from the search engines
cause same background color pic can consider as a link but not visible by human (still can detect when mouse over, try example below) and detectable by bot ... example " " please click between the " " should be a hidden link for human and visible link for bot .... am i right ?? sorry this just personal though, any though ? would i get penalty by google doing this ?
They can analyze color structure now? That is news to me. Tell me, where did you get that information from? There are other methods besides the 'white on white' variety. Try using negative margins or small line-heights in your CSS. Seems to me they are still relying on spam reports from squealers (competitors), which has served them well over the years. You may get away with hidden links for a while or may never even get caught at it. It is a crap shoot.
Question is where do you want to have your hidden links? Within your own pages (silly idea, because you will get penalized), or within others high PR pages (that would increase your link popularity without alerting the respective webmasters).
You cannot have your cake and eat it too. A hidden link is a hidden link. If you get penalized on your own pages, it stands to reason that your link will be penalized on any page. If you are condoning the sneaking of hidden links into other pages not under your control, that is one heck of a statement.
