    If I'm not wrong, Hashtags are basically keywords (used in G+, twitter) that can be searched (like tags in a blog post).

    Its a form of metadata tag, which are useful for short messages on microblogging and social networking services like Facebook,Twitter, Instagram, Flickr, Google+ may be tagged by putting "#" before important words, nothing else than this.

    It's a keyword used in most social media sites to group all information into one. By accessing the hastag you will be able to view all discussions related to the topic.

    It is like Keyword mentioning . If you are using #tag before a keyword the platform will consider it is the keyword, also fetch and display while a user search in the search term. Most of the social media sites comes with the concept Like

    example :
    if your Keyword is "tourpackage" means you can use #tag before the Keyword like "#tourpackage"
    1) Google Plus
    2) Facebook
    3) Twitter
    4) Pinterest
    5) Tumblr
    and many more

    Hash Tag mostly used in Social platforms. So people start searching your blog or your links via such tags. I mostly use hash tag in Twitter.
