I am see on mostly people will use #(hash tag) in own tweet. What is this. Can this help a tweet more searchable, discoverable. Describe it in detail....
For more information about hashtag (symbol #) on Twitter, read: https://support.twitter.com/articles/49309-what-are-hashtags-symbols# http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hashtag
it basically goes into twitter search module.. and people can search for that term... hence using the hash tag!
Simply says it was a icon or tool to get result what we search or join to the communication what we post about.
It's a way of allowing everyone talking about a specific conversation topic/subject to be able to track other people's contributions. If everyone talking about a specific tv show uses the same hashtag then everyone can see what they are saying
hashtags are like keywords.. say for example you use the hashtags: "wordpress" / "facebook" when people use the search feature to research on things about wordpress then your tweet shows up ..
Think it as a tag on wordpress site, you will find related post if you click on it. On twitter it shorted by date
Yes, they are like keywords but they are more interactive than just the ordinary text in the tweet. They are almost like a portal system to allow you to be found and find other people
if coming up with one for your own website or company then I'd try and keep it brief, maybe even abbreviate it, as many people may be worried about your hashtag taking up their available characters and not use them. also, on your own profile I'd try and avoid using them too much, it can be off putting if a company or business uses hashtags to the extreme, it looks like they're trying too hard to catch onto trending topics.
According to me Utilise the #hash tag. Some people search twitter through categories, so if you tweet about ‘news’ use the hashtag #news.
You can see that whenever you click on that keywords or phrase highlighted with # symbol, there will be result of tweets containing that keyword. Here are some tips to use #Tag: Use always this symbol with your relevant keywords or phrases. Don't use more than two hash tag in your one tweet. Try to use hash tag with trending topics.
If you want to do a search on Twitter about what's tweeting on any specific topic, put the hash tag in front of your keyword. For example, if you want to see current tweets on Hawaii, search for #Hawaii
