Wrong. When Toy R' Us launched its guerilla toy and had a sign that said, "New guerilla toy." Or when the store owner across the street dressed up in a guerilla outfit and stood outside with a sign, that's guerilla marketing. lol. I remember a good guerilla marketing scheme of mine a while back. I imported a product, and one of the ways I marketed it was to pay bribe an assistant of a Popular ****** Magazine reporter to open the 8th floor office curtains at a specified time, paid kids in a science club to build a remote controlled flying thingy-ma-bob and carefully crash it into the reporter's window. It stuck to the window with a big custom suction cup with a big note showing a website address with the reporter's name with a login password, where my 15 second elevator pitch to feature my product in the magazine for publicity awaits. He was pissed at first, then looked back and laughed, and ended up running a small article on my product. True story. Don't try this at home kids unless you know what you're doing so you dont A) get arrested; B) Get backlisted by the reporter. -Jimmy-
I heard a free MP3 Interview of Joe Vitale some months ago about Guerilla Marketing. I don't remember the link, and I don't remember the lesson too. However, I remember one thing, and you want to do what I will say to you know: I remember that he said: "Do something everyday for your marketing" This is really powerful, really.
All's I know about Guerilla Marketing is that it is extremely effective and can make you a lot of money. Game Revolution used Guerilla Marketing as far as I know, and look how successful that is.
