Anyone know what Google Wireless Transcoder is?

It's been showing up on my analytics with the IP 74.125.74.155 and a Mountain View location - no referring link of any sort.

I'm thinking it may be mobile phone related for url searching.

    I'd appreciate any additional info.

when someone use a phone to search your site on google, and visit your site. Google will claw your page and "transcode" to a better version suitable for the phone

Google Wireless Transcoder translate all “scripts” and render it in mobile format (XHTML mobile 1.0) & make surfing website a mobile friendly. Here are its features:

1-> It breaks long pages into multiple sub-pages.

2-> Transcode all pages to mobile friendly

3-> serves fully cached pages (including Pictures)
