SEOs have been trying to achieve a good rank on Google and looking for info on Google Sandbox. What is it? Does it really exist? Is there a way to avoid it entirely?
The Google Sandbox is a filtration system chiefly for new websites. Once placed the the sandbox, the result will be that the site will not be ranked high for some or all key phrases, although it may have some PR. Sites even with good content, good volume of inbound links may be placed in the Sandbox. The Google Sandbox is like putting a new website on probation, and the concept is designed to check spamming and getting permanently banned. It actually acts as a warning to the spammer webmaster who nitend to get a quick rise through building voluminous irrelevant links or other methods of spam.

Most SEOs, have been noticed to have not very clear idea about Sandbox concept and tend to mislead novice webmasters. The consider a site been placed in the sandbox if it is not found in the Search Results, without giving a minimum thought whether the site has really been placed in the sandbox or have been de-ranked hugely.

Just type: site:www.yourwebsitename.com in the Google Search box:

    1) Google should return your site's pages as results. If it doesn't then most likely your website has been dropped by Google.
    2) If Google shows your website in the results but have been heavily de-ranked on the SERP, but still indexed by Google, then chances are that your site had been in the Sandbox and has come out of it shortly.
    3) New websites with a PR value but still not showing up in Google SERP (which sometimes happen that new websites gain PR within short spell of time), then chances are there that your site has been moved to sandbox.

Thanx. No website owner in their right mind will "like" Google's sandbox. However, a smart website owner will use the sandbox as an opportunity to build a website that Google simply cannot refuse.
