Hi, I have several websites that lost rankings and I belive is due to these Google algotithm changes. can some kindly explain what exaclty is google panda update and what is google pengium update. also how to recover from these algorithm changes?

Hi Cri8bat, In a nutshell, they were basically over optimization penalties. Sites that got penalized did not look like (in google's opinion) what a normal website should look like. The anchor text was too targeted for specific pages, and the types of links were not diversified enough. -Brandama
Google panda is a change to Google search results ranking algorithm ,the change aimed to lower ranked ,thin sites and return high quality sites near top of the search results. on the other hand Google penguin is a code name of Google algorithm,the main aim was decreasing search engine rankings of websites that violets Google webmasters guideline.
I'm going to keep things simple. panda = Eliminates crappy content penguin = Eliminates overoptimization.
