Google pagerank is a system that ranks pages according to, mostly, the number of backlinks pointing to the site. It's 2 is low on the scale, could be lower though, it's a start. 8-9 is higher than you'll likely ever get. It uses an exponential scale. Search the forums here there are lots of posts about it.
    Good luck.

Look for Page Rank in Wikipedia. It is a weight between 0-10 that Google gives web-pages.

It is sort of referred to as Google popularity contest. It judges how reliable and responsible your site it.

It is judged on both domain age and back links (incoming links). More backlinks not so much domain age. They rank them between PR0-10. The higher the number the more popular and the amount of incoming links you have.
