    It is the "link popularity" of your website, each website that links to you counts as a vote, and the more powerful the site is that links to you, the more pagerank that is passed on.

    It counts about the popularity and daily visit of site. I know one of them. The SEO work was not done but the site is on PR 4 with in 3 months.

    well page rank is some what popularity of your site or how much good your site is but you can see many sites in Google that have the page rank 5 but they are not appearing in the top 6 pages of Google. So dont only concentrate in page rank to get traffic and to increase your business Search engine ranking is more important than page rank.....
