Google Docs is best summarized as a completely web-based, simplified, free version of Microsoft Office. It provides basic functionality such as word-processing, spreadsheets and presentations. The fact that it is an online service gives it a number of advantages, but there are also one or two disadvantages you need to be aware of.

I have been using Google Docs for a while and I find it awesome. It is very useful when you are not working on your computer but you want to same some information, and, not like microsoft word, it does a very good job when you copy/paste into wordpress

I love google docs, use it very regularly and it means that I free up space on my own personal computer. In theory it is also much safer, because the chances of Goolge losing all theredatacentres and therefore your documents is remote when compared with the chance of you damaging your own hard drive
