what is google dance?

I wanna know exactly what it mean and what is the defiinition.

It was used to describe the turbulent period of a Google index/algorithm update. This used to happen once every few months, sometimes lasting for days. Fluctuating results were the main symptoms.

Nowadays, there's no such thing anymore. They update all day every day continuously.
