Hi,

I'm new to the Search engine field, i need to know briefly about Google Bots
Can any one explain me

Hi Prasanna,

Very simply said, Google Bots is Google visiting your site for indexing.

Somehow Google has heard of your website, maybe through a link from another website, or you submitted your website to Google. Google will then come to your website and go through your page or pages looking at the text your website has, Google uses this for it's index. This process is done by Google Bot.

Google Bot will visit your website from time to time, depends a bit on how often your content chances, if it chances a lot, Google Bot will visit more often.

Google bot is a crowler of Google which visit your site and index. You can allow Google bot what pages you want to index or not in Google index. It is a bot you can say it wonderer also.
