    google api is special tool or set of function or varialees at developer with help of that can make a new software or program about google search.
    you shall be registered with google. and they can use different programming language , like javascript, java , asp.net and other...

    Google API basically lets you 'hook into' a lot of the services Google provides. For instance, maybe you want to write an application that interfaces with Google Picasa - as a user interacts with the application, the pictures are uploaded to/modified in/downloaded from Picasa.

    Yes there are a number of people that have developed apps using google API. Not too long ago I did some prototyping for an app that would create appointment entries in my google calendar. The code was less than a page long...I don't have access to it at the moment.

    Google API is very useful tool for holding traffic on your site. A visitor can come on your site and there he/she can review your site as well as he/she can check their Facebook, Orkut, G+, at the same time. So they don't wan to use Ctrl + tab every time to see update on FB, Orkut etc. So it is very useful tool... You can add in your blogger and wordpress as well.
