What is "Google +1" ?

    Can any one explain what is "Google +1" just launched by Google and it's impact over SEO.

    Hey see this description that I found:

    In order to +1 things, you first need a public Google profile. This helps people see who recommended that tasty recipe or great campsite. When you create a profile, it's visible to anyone and connections with your email address can easily find it.

    Your +1’s are stored in a new tab on your Google profile. You can show your +1’s tab to the world, or keep it private and just use it to personally manage the ever-expanding record of things you love around the web.

    It's a simple way to Like Google search results...When you're signed into your Google account, every Google search result will now have a +1 icon next to it (right now you have to activate in Google Experimental). If you find the search result useful or just enjoy the linked site, you hit the +1 icon. Google says by +1-ing a result you're giving it a recommendation, a stamp of approval. More +1's on a result means the site is more interesting.

    Just like facebook button. +1 button is under experimental. let assume that you like some result page in google, this +1 button help you to share this to your friend network

    Google +1 is similar to Facebook's "Like" button. it has been incorporated to ascertain the popularity of any particular site, blog, article, image, etc which appears in search engine results, amongst web surfers. in future, it is believed that the post having maximum +1 hits will get preference in search results, for the given keywords. in order to vote for any particular site via +1 button, you should log in in your Google profile.
