Ok, a month ago I was getting 4500 uniques a day, now I am only getting 2000 uniques a day, and all my ranks are gone. Can someone please help me solve this problem. Is google penalizing me for something?

Have you changed anything recently on your index page?

How long have you lost rank? If it's just a day, it's possible that you'll pop back up in a day or so.

Ouch, that is not something I would want to see on my keyword tracker page. I would be curious how long this has been going on as well

Hi ATL, I have just run your site thru my friend's patented analysis program and it looks like your rankings had been supported by websites (links etc) and a lot of those sites have been wheeted out therefor the support they gave you is gone. reach out for new, fresh ones.

Btw, I just got back from ATL...I really miss it sometimes.

Well, it is a forum so the index info changes every hour.

It has been happening on and off for about a month, my ranks are moving up and down like this everyday.

I use the Coop Network so I get new links almost every day.

Coop is a tool, not an almighty solution. It will enhance your
    rankings, not
create them by itself. It is very dangerous when people participate and
    stop
working on their content to balance things out. When you rely on
    something to
work wonders by signing up, you will lose strength especially when
    everyone
    else is doing the same.

The program works well because of who Shawn is and what he does and
    gets
weakened by those who just don't get it.

I believe there is a lot of work ahead to keep it working and while you
    are in
the program and participate, follow the advice search engines give you
    same
    time:

Create fresh, unique and quality content, network with related or semi
    related
sites, submit to inndustry specific directories (paid and unpaid) and
    please
stay away from over optimization. Good things come in time and will
    stay over
    time!

No cache in US either --- looks like you might have been banned by google.

How is your yahoo and msn traffic holding up?

Yup, same thing happened to one of my sites. Ranks gone and index page gone from google. Luckily, yahoo & msn have not been affected. I think it may be related to getting too many links too fast using the coop. Did you use a spread of keywords when using the coop?

Same thing here!!! Index gone, however I tweaked my pages and on the 18th i got 346 cached again after i had lost them as a supplemental result. I think google has turned up there dup content filter.

I dont' think it is related to the dup filter for my site. Yah the nav bar and top part of the site is the same but the core content is way different on each page. But who knows maybe it is - I can't figure it out.

What exactly did you to to get the caches back, and can someone elaborate on this dump filter.

It's the duplication filter. He/She would have introduced new content so the pages didn't look like copies of each other. :)

I'm not totally sure that G is now more sensitive to duplication, but it's beginning to look that way. I also think there is a period of time, a buffer if you like, before the filter used to come into effect.. I'm not so sure about that any more either :)

    Cheers

Ok, I put alot of work into moding my site so that the dup content is minimal for non registered users. I removed some options like the print thread option, signatures, and the last post links on the home page. Let me know if you all see anything else that might help me get back into google.

I didn't have time to try and check out your site, but you might want to do a "inurl:www.yourdomain.com" search on Google. If you notice any weird redirect links it could be that your site has been hijacked.

I'm in the process of researching this problem right now myself, so the most advice I can give is to double check anything that looks strange or unfamiliar.

I don't think so, I am a supportive site for the band and they respect what I do. Any other suggestions?

No, you're stuck in a "bad neighborhood" somewhere and guilty by association.
