To continue with this "G nonsense", has anybody noticed that the serp's in google are changing all the time? I keep checking on my site: http://www.pokerallstar.com for most important keywords, and one day I am number 15, other 55, other 90, sometimes my site does not shows up at all, what is going on? This does not happens in yahoo or msn, where S E placement of my site according to my keywords is pretty much stable. Does anybody have a clue of what is happening with Google?
Like someone else said here b4.. bots look for new things and exciting things... according to keywords. If you update the site it'll stay as high as you want it to be. We are ranked #1 for the keyword fasterupload.
My forums are usually no 1 or 2 in Google, yesterday I checked 5 pages & I couldn't find my forums anywhere. Luckily my homepage also shows up if you type in a particular phrase so I was still doing okay, but would rather my homepage & forums were 1 & 2 (as they usually are). Anyway, I checked a few hours later & my forums were back in no. 1 spot. A friend has said that Google have changed their rules. I haven't looked into this. I do tweak my keywords from time to time & check my ranking but I don't spend a lot of time worrying about it. I just find I have enough to do running forums & writing content.
Hello! Sorry, I am again writing my post here in this thread. Becoz i have posted it in some other thread but nobody has replied me. "Just before 4 days ranking for all my keywrods are gone down by 40 to 50 positions in Google. I am too disappointed by it. Now in the some datacenter like in this http://72.14.207.99, i am getting good rank. In all keywords i am in top 5. So, now smile comes on my face after 4 days. Will this result will go live?????" Thanks.
Ya, but you're not #1 for "faster upload", obviously its your keyword you should rank for it. Results 1 - 10 of about 20,700,000 for faster upload. (0.21 seconds)
I was reading a post in other forum where they mentioned that probably the first 5 results in google's seprs where pretty much stable, but bellow that results were moving around a lot more.
Sounds like something I wrote not too long ago here. The further down the list you are the more volatile it will be. I have #1 spots that have stuck for a couple of years now. But currently I am seeing a lot more instability and I am hoping the change I saw over the weekend is what will be settling, since I am seeing a lot of good changes for keywords!
I've found a satisfactory answer to my question. Google has multiple data centers and displays different results in some of them, so we can check our position in the different data centers, that will give us an idea, this a a good resource to check it: http://www.mcdar.net/dance/index.php
Yes, she has an awesome site there. I have been watching to see if I can find an end to the movement of a couple of terms, hoping top 10 placement.
