    Genuine links means which come from content rich pages and sites

    there are some webmaster who created some theme relevant sites for link exchange purpose only these sites only have limited pages around 8-10 pages and some content on each page and they use all the pages for link exchange only there you will found only link link and links so those sites not gives any value to your site

    Genuine links are those that you get naturally. Only this link will play key role to be ranked high in organic result; however, after the penguin result it seems that if your site has not geniun link then it will affect your site go back in SERPs.
